one of the most beautiful cook-off locations available.
The Professionals Today 23rd Annual
State Championship Cherokee Strip Cook-Off
will be held September 18 & 19 on the
banks of beautiful Lake Ponca in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
Activities include a silent auction, musical entertainment and a
People's Choice Award given to the crowd-selected favorite BBQ and chili
cooks.
Our cook-off was recently selected to be one
of the stops on “The Great American BBQ Tour.” We are thrilled! This
gives you just one more reason to participate in this year’s event.
This tour, which will be on display at 25 premiere events and also make
numerous stops at retail locations across the U.S., will show how
backyard grillers can take tips from the BBQ pros of the KCBS and apply
them to their outdoor cooking at home. Our
cook-off is an Oklahoma State Championship Cook-Off and is sanctioned by
the Kansas City Barbeque
Society.
The beneficiary for all money raised is Hospice of North Central
Oklahoma. To date, Professional’s Today has contributed more than
$210,000 to this worthy organization. Hospice NCO offers medical and
emotional support to terminally ill patients and families. Their
services are individualized to meet family and patient needs and range
from social services to 24-hour emergency care skilled nursing. This
particular Hospice office is a non-profit, freestanding, community
hospice existing to fulfill a mission opposed to making a profit.
Support coverage includes all of Kay County, and areas of Grant, Noble,
and Osage Counties. They do not charge any expenses to patients or their
families.
Free Admission.....Tasting kits will be sold to the public as a
Fundraiser for Hospice of North Central Oklahoma.
All donations are tax-deductible.
